Four people detained in Czechia after attacking Ukrainian volunteers
The Czech police have detained four people in connection with an attack on volunteers of the Prague Maidan initiative who were raising funds for Ukraine in Prague.
According to the press service of the Czech police, law enforcers say that the four people were detained in the Prague airport.
In connection with the incident, the investigators initiated a criminal case. The detainees are suspected of committing several criminal offences.
"Since the investigation of this case is underway, we are not going to provide any additional information concerning it," the police stated.
On 1 June Russian-speaking foreigners attacked volunteers of the Prague Maidan initiative who were raising funds in support of Ukraine.
Last year the Czech police started investigating an attack in the Prague 1 district of the capital, where a man was attacked allegedly because the perpetrators confused him for a Ukrainian.
