Ukroboronprom, a Ukrainian state-owned defence industry company, has opened its first foreign representative office in Washington, D.C.
The opening took place on the sidelines of the NATO summit in the US capital.
"On the sidelines of the NATO Summit, we opened the first foreign office of Ukroboronprom – in Washington, USA. Its main task is to promote joint US-Ukrainian defence projects and enhance our integration into NATO's defence industrial base," Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, said.

Kamyshin added that the opening of the office in Washington would bring the Ukrainian industry closer to the US defence industry and help Ukraine integrate into the NATO defence industry.
The US president announced on the night of 9-10 July that Ukraine would receive new Patriot air defence systems, but not all of the announced deliveries were new.
Later, the White House explained what other air defence systems they would provide to Ukraine.
