Friday, 5 July 2024

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said that he asked Vladimir Putin three questions regarding Russia's aggression against Ukraine during a meeting with the Russian leader.

The Hungarian prime minister said at a press conference with Putin in Moscow that peace needs to be worked on and that he and Putin had discussed the "path to peace".

Orbán also revealed three questions he asked Putin:

  • What does Putin think of the existing peace initiatives;
  • What he thinks about a ceasefire and peace talks and when they could be held;
  • Putin's opinion on the post-war European security system.

Orbán did not provide the answers of the Kremlin head to these questions.
