President of European Commission to arrive in Kyiv on 20 September

Ursula von der Leyen, Head of the European Commission, has announced that she will visit the city of Kyiv.

Von der Leyen expressed support on behalf of the EU for energy security of Ukraine amid the preparation for winter.

"I will be travelling to Kyiv to discuss these matters in person with President Zelensky tomorrow in our efforts to help Ukraine," von der Leyen said at a press conference in Brussels.

EU ambassador in Kyiv Katarina Maternova revealed in an interview for European Pravda how the EU was preparing to support Ukraine during the winter season.

Mathernova believes that a challenging winter awaits Ukraine but the situation will not be catastrophic.
