Ukrainian Parliament dismisses Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration
The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) has dismissed Olha Stefanishyna from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
"[Decision on] dismissal of Olha Stefanishyna from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine [was adopted]. 241 [MPs voted in favour of the decision]," Ukrainian MP of the Voice faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak reported on Telegram.
Zhelezniak reported that on 5 September, the Rada will re-appoint Stefanishyna to the same position, but will also combine it with appointing her Minister of Justice.
Stefanishyna was appointed to the position of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine in June 2020. Before that, she had served as the Director-General of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Ukrainska Pravda sources said that Olha Stefanishyna, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, is reportedly being considered to replace Denys Maliuska as Ukraine’s Justice Minister. As a result, Stefanishyna will vacate her current position.
On 4 September, Davyd Arakhamiia, leader of the Servant of the People faction, announced a 'major government reboot,' during which 'more than 50% of the Cabinet's staff' would be replaced.
