Russian drones crashed on NATO territory due to our inaction – Lithuanian foreign minister
Russian drones have begun to crash on NATO territory due to the inaction of member states, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis believes.
"Nothing should be landing on Ukraine, or Latvia, or anywhere on NATO territory, but this is the new reality our inaction has allowed to emerge," Landsbergis wrote on X (Twitter).
He added that Lithuania would, of course, "be supporting a strong allied response".
Incidents unthinkable 3 yrs ago are now treated as routine. Nothing should be landing on Ukraine, or Latvia, or anywhere on NATO territory, but this is the new reality our inaction has allowed to emerge. Lithuania will of course be supporting a strong allied response.

Following the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of 7-8 September, Romania reported that a drone had violated its airspace and launched a search for the wreckage on its territory.
Latvia also stated that it had found a crashed Russian military drone in the east of the country and was conducting an investigation.
