Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković signed an agreement for long-term support and cooperation.

According to Zelenskyy, the topics of talk included defence aid and collaboration, humanitarian demining, the rehabilitation of Ukrainian children and injured troops, Ukraine's reconstruction, and European integration.

"We also signed an agreement on long-term cooperation and support between our countries. Together, we will develop cooperation between our defence industries. Croatia will continue to provide equipment and share expertise in humanitarian demining," Zelenskyy said on Twitter (X) following a meeting with Plenković.

"I thank Croatia for every act of support for our country and people, and for standing with Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression in 2014," he added.

On Wednesday 9 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Croatia to participate in the third Ukraine–South East Europe Summit and hold bilateral meetings.

The summit in Dubrovnik will be the third of its kind – the first took place in Athens in August 2022, followed by the second in Tirana in February 2024.

As European Pravda previously reported, the goal of the meeting in Dubrovnik is to demonstrate solidarity and support from the countries of Southeast Europe for Ukraine, which has been resisting Russian aggression for two and a half years.

It is expected that the summit participants will adopt a joint declaration, the text of which is still discussed but will align with the declarations from the two previous summits.
