US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma arrives in Kyiv
US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma arrived in Kyiv on Friday, 15 November. He also holds the position of US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery.
Bridget Brink, US Ambassador to Ukraine, welcomed Verma "back to Kyiv".
"Ukraine’s economic recovery opens the door to US business to invest in Ukraine’s future and in a partnership in defence, technology, and other areas that will benefit both our countries," she stressed on X (Twitter).
Penny Pritzker served as the US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery from September 2023 to August 2024. Upon the expiry of her term, her responsibilities were handed over to Richard Verma.
In early November, US Congressmen Mike Rogers, Jerry Carl and Mike Quigley visited Kyiv.
