UK has trained 50,000 Ukrainian troops within Operation Interflex
Operation Interflex, a training mission for Ukraine led by the UK, is underway in the UK, and 50,000 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained.
The UK Defence Ministry reported on X (Twitter) that 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained as part of the Interflex training mission and have improved their skills and combat readiness.
"Kosovo, Romania, and Estonia are the latest nations to join this global effort, standing united for freedom and resilience."
Ukrainian military training in Europe takes place mainly within the framework of two programmes – Interflex, led by the UK, and EUMAM initiative, led by the EU.
In July, it was reported that representatives of the Kosovo Security Force trained Ukrainian troops in the UK as part of the Interflex mission.
In August, the UK Ministry of Defence warned that Russian spies could use UAVs to monitor UK military bases where Ukrainian soldiers are trained.
