Trump wins in fourth swing state, secures election victory
The Republican candidate Donald Trump, who has already been declared the winner of the presidential election by US media, is winning in the fourth swing state of Wisconsin and securing the necessary number of electoral votes for victory.
In particular, NBC News projects Donald Trump as the winner in Wisconsin with 49.7% of the vote after 99% of ballots have been counted. Kamala Harris has 48.7%.
Wisconsin turned out to be the final state Trump needed to secure the presidency. With a win in Wisconsin, which carries 10 electoral votes, Trump has secured 276 votes. A minimum of 270 is required to win.
At the same time, The New York Times reports that Trump has secured 277 electoral votes.
Both Harris and Trump dedicated significant attention, money, and resources to Wisconsin, holding large rallies in suburbs and college towns, and saturating voters with political ads.
Several election forecasts in the US predict Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election.
Trump himself has already declared his victory and promised to fight daily for a "strong, safe and prosperous America".
