Zelenskyy says Russia should "sod off" at meeting with Scholz
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responding to a question about the concessions Russia would need to make during potential negotiations, said Russia should "sod off".
As reported by Ukrinform, the head of state was asked during a joint briefing with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz what concessions Russia would need to make during possible peace talks.
He replied: "What should Russia do? Sod off. Ideally, it should understand the harm it is causing – killing us while we defend ourselves and fight the enemy."
"For now, our plans remain unchanged. Of course, we hope to become stronger so that this war can end in 2025. Apologies for the undiplomatic phrasing," he said.
Zelenskyy also mentioned that the main topics of discussion with Chancellor Scholz were strengthening the front line, the future role of the European Union and an invitation for Ukraine to join NATO.
Earlier, Zelenskyy revealed that he and Chancellor Scholz had inspected drones with advanced capabilities and met with representatives of manufacturing companies.
Scholz and Zelenskyy also visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers.
