Estonian PM arrives in Kyiv

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Miсhal arrived in Kyiv on the morning of 9 December.

Miсhal said on X (Twitter) that he would meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Ukrainian parliament.

Michal stressed that supporting Ukraine to victory would remain Estonia's priority and that the country would not make any concessions.

"Ukraine’s victory is a win for Europe, the US and to the whole democratic world," the Estonian prime minister concluded.

Friedrich Merz, the leader of the German opposition and a candidate for chancellor from the conservative CDU/CSU bloc, also arrived in Kyiv.

In mid-November, the Estonian government supported Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur's proposal to send Ukraine a new military aid package.
