Another Georgian fighter killed in action fighting on Ukrainian side
Kakha Tilidze, a Georgian soldier, has been killed in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
As reported by Georgian news outlet Echo of Caucasus, citing information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Kakha Tilidze was killed in action was first spread on social media by his relatives and brothers-in-arms. The killing of the man was reported, in particular, by volunteer Vano Nadiradze and the leader of the Anti-Occupation Movement, Davyd Katsarava.
The information about the death of the soldier was confirmed to the Georgian service of Radio Liberty by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
It is unknown where exactly and under what circumstances the Georgian soldier was killed.
In total, more than 60 volunteers from Georgia have been killed on the battlefield in Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In November, a Georgian soldier who was wounded in Bakhmut died in France while undergoing treatment.
Badri Kvaratskhelia, a Georgian soldier, was killed in action in hostilities in Russiaʼs Kursk Oblast.
On 10 January, a volunteer from Latvia, Edgars Platonov, was killed in action fighting on the Ukrainian side.
