Speaker of Latvian parliament arrives in Kyiv
Daiga Mieriņa, Speaker of the Saeima (parliament) of Latvia, has arrived in Ukraine on an official visit on Tuesday, 14 January.
Olena Kondratiuk, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament), posted on Facebook a video of the meeting at Kyiv railway station on the morning of 14 January.
The deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada says this is an important visit for the development of interparliamentary cooperation and evidence of support for Ukrainian-Latvian relations.
The delegation is reportedly scheduled to meet with Ukrainian authorities and representatives of military training and rehabilitation centres.
German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit on the morning of 14 January.
Lithuania's new Cabinet of Ministers visited Kyiv on Friday, 20 December.
