Gazprom Threatens To Cut Gas Flows to Europe via Ukraine

Russian monopolist Gazprom threatens to cut its gas flows to Europe via Ukraine next week.

Gazprom has stated on its Telegram that some gas volumes meant for Moldova are being kept in Ukraine. Gazprom warned it will limit transit volumes from November 28 corresponding to the amount of gas not reaching Moldavian customers.

"On November 21, Moldovagaz, in accordance with the contract, paid Gazprom part of the supplies for November. The volume of Russian gas actually supplied is 24.945 million cubic meters of gas. Ukraine obstructed about 52.52 million cubic metres from being delivered to Moldova," the statement reads.

The Ukrainian route is the last remaining pipeline that still supplies Russian gas to Western Europe, as Moscow has gradually cut supplies to the continent since pre-war.

Previously, Bulgaria's caretaker government and Lukoil Neftochim Bulgaria have agreed that the Russian company will start paying the real amount of taxes in Bulgaria if it is allowed to continue operating at full capacity and continue exporting oil products to the EU until the end of 2024.
